Shabby chic rose bud lamp

How to turn your boring Ikea lamp into a shabby chic vintage rose bud lamp for under 20$

When I saw the 15 rose bud foams at the dollar store at 2$ each pack, I absolutely knew I needed them ! I've been wanting to change my husband's boring bedroom lamp. So I've decided to give that lamp a make over. Seems like it turned out pretty well.

All you'll need is a hot glue gun, glue sticks, rose bud foams , paint colour of your choice and an old lamp. I used 6-7 packs of those rose bud foams on my lamp shade.

It's pretty simple; Apply hot glue behind the rose bud foam and right onto the lamp shade. Leave very little space in between the rose bud foams. Continue in rows until whole lamp shade is covered.

I painted all the off white rose bud foams with a big paint brush. I didn't bother making sure that each individual rose bud was fully painted. I saw that it looked very lovely with little white paint on off white rose bud foam. Gave it a shabby chic look without any effort.
