What's a baby moon ?

It's a relaxing vacation taken by parents before the baby is born.

Our baby moon vacation was perfect. After travelling 3 different destinations with my partner, we became travelling experts. I will share my perfect Caribbean destination and help you on making smart decisions (that we don't always think about).

Before Booking !

Make sure to ask your doctor if it's safe FOR YOU to travel while pregnant. Get a note from your doctor that you are allowed to travel during your pregnancy and keep it with you. Keep a copy of your prenatal chart as well.

Check with your airline policy to know up to how many weeks you're allowed to travel while pregnant. Don't forget to also count the week you're coming back. Most airlines allows up to 37 weeks.

Pick the destination: 4 to 5 stars resort

Trip Advisor is very helpful. You can find so many reviews, ratings and pictures of travelers. Don't be cheap. If you want great service, food, gym, facilities, entertainment, resort, weather and beach all that without getting out of your resort. We went to Royalton White Sands Montego Bay.

Pick the perfect flight schedule.

How to pick your flight time. Be smart. Look at the departure and arrival time and make sure you aren't losing a day of vacation for the price you paid. We were very picky in choosing the flight schedule. Choose what works for you. Of course it depends of the flight schedule.

Air plane seat

Pay the extra to get comfort. Look at your airline seat plan. I picked the seat with the most leg space and close to the bathroom. Trust me you want to be close to the bathroom. Leg room is great, you need space to relax and no line ups when getting out the plane.

The Perfect Weather

Overcast and cool breeze. This is the perfect weather. Too much heat can make a pregnant woman very cranky and dehydrated. It is important to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun. It is recommended for pregnant woman to wear SPF 30 before being exposed by the sun. I try not to spend too much time under the sun anyway because I tend to get cranky and besides I don't need to tan, I'm already tan.

JAMAICA, NO PROBLEM MON. Royalton White Sands Montego Bay.

Get the upgrade ! Get the diamond club. Trust me, it is baby moon approved. You get to have your own private butler to book your reservations, iron your clothes, bring you drinks and food to your private section at the beach (away from activity resort music), shoe shinning service, what ever you need they can help you in making your stay enjoyable to the fullest ! Nice room with luxurious amenities. I have to say that I've never seen a powerful hotel blow dryer. There's a pillow menu, 5 different kind of pillow to choose from. I picked the anti-stress pillow. 24 hrs room service. FREE WIFI, on the beach, resort and hotel room ! There's a Japanese, steak house, Italian and international restaurant. My favorite was the Japanese restaurant. Great food and showmanship. There's a sports bar that has yummy jerk chicken poutine on their menu. There's a coffee, desert and ice cream shop. (all included) Fresh coconut water ! It has water slides for the kids ! The staff really works hard on making sure everyone has a great time in Jamaica.

Hope my baby moon travelling tips help you in choosing your right travel destination
